Our Vacancies have partnered with Epsilon Telecommunications to recruit a Datacentre & Field engineer. You’ll join a London based regional team of 4 people covering EMEA (mainly London and Europe).

Our Vacancies have partnered with Epsilon Telecommunications to recruit a Datacentre & Field engineer. You’ll join a London based regional team of 4 people covering EMEA (mainly London and Europe). Specifically you and your colleagues have responsibility for all operational elements of uptime, delivery of customer services, installation, fault finding and maintenance of all the equipment within the Datacentre & POP sites.

To be successful in this role, you must have worked in a similar position before with an eagerness to also support project works typically driven by the Engineering team by pre-staging equipment ready for deployment. You will travel to POPs to facilitate installations, migrations and consolidation works as part of the projects and for general maintenance and or audits of equipment and cabling.

This position also supports the Network Operations Administrator and Facilities Co-Ordinator with warehouse stock checks, picking equipment from stock, packing equipment ready for shipments, and receiving equipment. You’ll also work closely with the Facilities and Datacentre Manager and other departments (situated in Bulgaria, Singapore and occasionally New York) to ensure works are completed within the agreed departmental SLAs.

Working Hours:

09:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday.

Callout – 4 Week rolling Rota. Covering Field & Datacentre.

Location – 50% Office based in Central London (EC2A 4NW) & 50% Field based within London.

Some, travel to Network POP’s outside of London is required.

Essential skills and experience required:

• On Call Rota – Able to respond to callouts within 2 Hour SLA to London site. (Free parking provided)
• M&E equipment alarm monitoring during working hours
• First line support for M&E equipment
• Able to assist with Provisioning tasks within the Datacentre.
• Record keeping regarding cabling, ODF, rack detail changes etc.
• POP site routine maintenance – Filter cleaning & equipment function checks.
• Pre-stage and Installation of network equipment before deployment such as cabling, labelling, basic configuration, faulting, testing function equipment.
• Work with Engineering teams to deploy & integrate equipment into the network POPs.
• Initiate and implement migrations on network equipment.
• You must have a car suitable for field engineering work (car allowance provided)
